Google chose to start making cars that can drive themselves , and will not modify vehicles made by other manufacturers .

Google 's car looks like a city car with a face that is " friendly " , designed to look less intimidating and helps people accept the technology driving alone .

The inventor of this car is Sergey Brin revealed the plan at a conference in California .

" We are very excited about this vehicle - this is something that would allow us to really push the technological ability to drive themselves , and understand the limitations , " said Chris Urmson , director for the company 's self-driving project .

He added that this car has the ability to " improve people's lives by changing mobility " .

But some researchers working in this field is investigating the potential loss to the car without driver technology .

They believed that they could make traffic worse because people will eventually accept congestion due to unnecessary driving their own cars .
